Terms of use
The terms that apply to this site and to downloading Brainstorm.
These terms cover your use of https://getbrainstorm.online and the Brainstorm software you can download from it. They are short because the product is open source and the site asks almost nothing of you.
The software
Brainstorm is free and open source, licensed under the GNU AGPL-3.0. The license — not this page — governs your rights to use, modify, and redistribute it. Brainstorm is pre-1.0 software under active development: it is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, and we recommend keeping backups of anything important. Your data stays on your machine; if you enable sync, it is end-to-end encrypted.
The site
The content of this site (text, images, the Brainstorm name and mark) belongs to the Brainstorm project. You may link to it and quote it with attribution. Don't misrepresent the project, impersonate it, or use the site to do anything unlawful — including abusing the waitlist form.
Third-party links
The site links out to GitHub, YouTube, and the launch directories we are listed on. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices; we are not responsible for them.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Brainstorm project is not liable for damages arising from your use of this site or the software. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law grants you and that cannot be waived.
